Earth, water, fire and wind - the four elementals have collided with the purpose of creating not Captain Planet, but something that comes with the Twitter hashtag #Invincible. We are of course talking about the new Lamborghini Urus, their SUV concept, which is being previewed at until end of the week at 2012 China Auto in Beijing.
The spiritual successor to the masculine LM002 from the late 80s is 4.99 m long (196.5 inches), 1.99 m (78.4 inches) wide and 1.66m (65.4 inches) tall. This makes it quite imposing in size, sitting somewhere between a BMW X5 and an Audi Q7.

The Usus concept uses the same platform as the Bentley EXP 9 F concept and the next-gen Q7. At the business end is an engine which Lamborghini has not yet named, but which they say will produce 600HP and the lowest CO2 emissions in its class, even though it’s kind of in a class of its own. This means it’s either a hybrid V10 or a turbo V8.

“The Urus is a very concrete idea for the future of Lamborghini – as a third model line and as the perfect complement to our super sports cars”, said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Lamborghini. “SUVs stand for freedom and emotion. SUVs make up one of the most successful market segments worldwide. The Urus is the most extreme interpretation of the SUV idea; it is the Lamborghini of the SUVs.”
