It’s been a while since we’ve reported a crash, but the recent accident involving two sports supercars, namely a Lamborghini Murcielago and a Spyker caught our attention as it ended in tragedy for one of the drivers.
The incident happened the past weekend in Antwerp, Belgium, early in the morning. The Lambo driver somehow smacked into the Spyker and flew off the road. The result was indeed tragic: the driver of the Lamborghini Murcielago was thrown from the car and died at the hospital.
Despite what some might think, the passengers in the Spyker survived without serious injuries, Jalopnik reported. The accident is still under the question mark, with the local police moving forward with the investigations.
This, however, makes us wonder what were the chances of the two sports supercars being on the same street at the same time? At a first glance we would go with street racing, even if it is up to the local law enforcement to see the investigation through
As for the competition between the two cars, if any, it is already clear who was the winner and who was the looser, as are the consequences of street racing and furthermore, a lesson for those who don’t use their seat belts.
This also reminds us of another tragedy, that happened in June, when the driver of a rented Lambo wanted to take his wife out and celebratea personal achievement, but instead caused a chain crash in which he and other two people were killed.
