Lamborghini had been playing with the concept of a hybrid for quite some time and you can think of the 2014 Asterion and 2018 Terzo Millennio concepts as proof. Well, this year's Frankfurt Motor Show has brought us the Sian, a hypercar that brings gas-electric propusion into production, albeit with this limited to 63 units. So, what's next?
Well, with the Aventador successor not that far away, we're looking forward to see how Sant'Agata Bolognese handles the electrification duty.

You see, the 819 hp Sian makes use of supercapacitors, which can offer three times as much power as a battery (for the same space). However, while this solution helps keep the weight in check, the current supercapacitor technology doesn't allow for an all-electric range that would go past a few kilometers, since the hardware can't store enough energy.

So the Aventador successor might have to turn to the more conventional lithium-ion batteries, which bring extra weight, thus forcing engineers to make wonders in compensation.

But until we get to see what happens on that front, we can allow ourselves to dream of a Sian Speedster.

As such, you can think of this Raging Bull, which is portrayed in the rendering below, as the halfway point between the mundane Aventador Roadster and the downright savage Aventador J.

And since chopped windshields (or no windshields, for that matter) seem to be back in fashion, the Sian Speedster could rival the upcoming McLaren Speedster and the Ferrari Monza SP2, obviously not directly.

Now, you might want to know how the nameplate of the newcomer is pronounced. Well, you can jump to the 0:23 point of the video below, which gives the essential bits of the hybrid hypercar's Geneva debut. That's where you'll get to zoom in on Lamborghini head honcho Stefano Domenicali, who was born in Imola (that's one hour away from Sant'Agata Bolognese), pronouncing "Sian".
