Every edition of the Frankfurt Motor Show since the economic crisis ended has been simply epic, but the upcoming show seems to top all of them. Like a jewel in VW's crown, Lamborghini is preparing a car that it says will change the very fabric of reality.
All we know for sure is that "The Sky Will Never Be the Same" after the Frankfurt IAA. The epic teaser Lamborghini reveals nothing while playing with our senses. The car they are preparing to show rips a hole through the sky as if empowered with the qualities of Zeus.

The metaphor they are using suggests we're dealing with a convertible or a car named after wind or air. However, things aren't quite so simple in the guessing department.

One possibility is that we'll see the Huracan Spyder or a preview concept. Audi has already started testing its sister car, the R8 Spyder. However, it will be quite a while before we get to see the German machine and no roofless Huracans have yet been seen anywhere.

But the Huracan is named after a storm, which is exactly what we see over the Dubai skyline in this teaser video.

Most previous reports seem to indicate something else is coming, something perversely expensive, rare and exotic. It's called the Centenario LP 770-4 and will celebrate the 100th anniversary of he birth of Ferruccio Lamborghini on April 28, 1916.

As the name suggests, all the power comes from a 770 horsepower version of the 6.5-liter V12 engine found in the Aventador. 20 ponies more than the SV model is not something to get excited about, especially when Bugatti is working on a hypercar with twice the power. However, all concepts and one-offs from Lamborghini's skunk works division have had an exotic feel, thanks to the styling and unique carbon-fiber technology.

The weird thing is that previous reports said the Centenario would debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, almost half a year from now. What's more, the idea of producing 10 Roadster units had reportedly been scrapped, leaving only 20 hardtops. That should give extra credibility to our Huracan Spyder idea, right?

It's been ages since the reveal of the Reventon, a car that blew everybody away at the time. However, Lamborghini has never stopped pushing the envelope with its designs, sometimes receiving harsh criticism, as was the case with the Veneno and Egoista.
