The new Lamborghini Roadster has come back to taunt us, as new images depicting the car's exterior and interior have surfaced, kldconcept via jalopnik.com reported. All we want to know about the car will soon become available with the official unveiling at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show, but until then, these CGI photos could satisfy our curiosity.
As we previously reported, the roadster has a two tone Grigio Telesto exterior, which combines dark gray body paint with bright orange touches on the front spoiler and sills. The Brake calipers are orange colored, while the LP650 logos are applied on the front and rear bumpers.
The body of the car hides a V12 powerplant, made visible thanks to the transparent engine cover. Probably based on the Reventon's 6.5l engine, the unit will produce no less than 650 horsepower and 660 Nm of torque. That is enough to propel the car to a top speed of 212 miles per hour (340 km/hour).
The interior of the roadster is of asymmetrical design, with Arancio Leonis stitching dashboard. The steering wheel is covered in leather and follows the line set by the design of the control panel. The driver of the LP650-4 is engulfed in Alcantara Nera leather, which covers even the handbrake bag, while the passenger will enjoy Nero Perseus leather on his side.
Gear paddles and the switches' frame are colored to match the striking bright orange on the outside of the car. Lamborghini logo embroidery is to be found on the headrest and on the door pillow triangle.
Since it is a Lamborghini, don't expect to be mass produced. Only 50 units of the LP650-4 will experience the tarmac, but not until 500,000 euros have been paid for every one of them.
