Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SV Turns to Water Sports

We already knew that the folks that take part in the annual Gumball 3000 are somewhat excentrike - you know, the kind of people who enjoy streaking in public and funny costumes with extra body parts. But one particular participant has taken things a step further.

We’re talking about Jon Olsson, a Swedish skier with a knack for superfast and exotic vehicles, who successfully negotiated a water-filled portion of the border between Greece and Turkey during the Gumball 3000, using something that’s as low of the ground as the belly of a pig - the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SV.

Olsson reportedly owns or has owned BMW racers, an Ultima GTR, a Nissan GT-R, a Lamborghini Gallardo and the Lamborghini Murcielago Super Veloce, among other automotive trophies. Despite these being objects that mortal man lust over on a daily basis, it’s clear that the cravings of us normal folks have no importance for the skier.

The story behind the picture is that as part of the Gumball, Olsson and other competitors needed to go from Turkey into Greece, and the border crossing was a bit flooded with no way around it.

With total confidence, Olsson proved that the nose of supercar is the perfect tool for fording shallow water, as he successful crossed to the other end.

Perhaps the skier is to take delivery of the new Lamborghini Aventador, or the SV isn’t to his liking, but we had to look away so as to not witness the horror that took place.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
