Automóviles Lamborghini Latinoamérica SA (as known in Mexico) was allowed to produce it’s own concepts as well as derivatives of the Diablo (even after it was phased out of production). Despite disputes with Volkswagen over the original deal made in 1995, the Mexican Government has seen fit to grant the Latin Lamborghini maker the necessary funds to build a brand new factory.
The original Miura was the sports car that made Lamborghini famous. It was a car truly ahead of its time, as it shocked even companies like Ferrari and Maserati. The car was very aggressively styled, and an appropriate name was chosen for it, the Miura, a designation taken from the ferocious Spanish fighting bulls.The car is widely considered to have begun the trend of high performance, two-seater, mid-engined sports cars.
Over the years, the famous Sant’Agata Bolognese manufacturer has had more owners then we can count. One such owner was a less known Indonesian company MegaTech which, being short on cash, decided to work out a deal with Mexican entrepreneur Jorge Antonio Fernandez Garcia, AKA Joan Ferci. Under Ferci's directions , Automóviles Lamborghini Latinoamérica SA was allowed to produce its own concepts as well as the Diablo (even after it was phased out of production).
The manufacturer also has plans to make a 4X4 called The Great Bull (meant to follow the footsteps of the old LM002), of which details are not yet known.
