Lamborghini may have shown us the Hurracan, causing the obvious stir around the world, but there are still some emotions to come, as the Raging Bull’s latest creation still hasn’t proved how fast it can go round the Nurburgring.
Well, this is exactly what Lamborghini seems to be trying in the adjacent photos. The images show a Hurracan that is still wearing its camouflage and got stranded on the Nordschleife. The only way in which this would make sense was if Lambo attempted a hot lap, trying to keep the vehicle’s weight at a minimum. Who knows, maybe the driver even skipped breakfast...
The revised V10 at the center of the car has sipped all the fuel in its tank, with the car coming to an embarrassing stop just ahead of the Ring’s Galgenkopf section. An Opel Insignia Sports Tourer OPC assistance car came to the rescue. The Huracan received five liters of gas, just enough to reach the closest petrol station.
One way or another, it shouldn’t take all that long before Lamborghini comes with a laptime for the Hurracan. With McLaren having recently introduced the 650S, a machine that's insanely quick, the pressure on the Italians must be immense.
