Lamborghini Huracan vs. Aventador Roadster Offroading Comparison: Ruined on Sand

Here's a short riddle with an answer any fast car driver should know: what has four-wheel-drive and a decent front axle ground clearance but should never be used for offroading?

While there might be multiple potential answers, we are referring to Lamborghinis here, with the ride height details targeting the front axle lift system, not the default setting of these supercars.

Unfortunately, there are plenty of Lamborghini drivers who show no respect for the values of Sant'Agata Bolognese. These people only understand the power of the loud pedal, pushing the gas no matter the consequences.

This happens to be the case with drivers of the two Lamborghinis in the clips below, who go drifting in their Italian supercars despite running out of road.

Believe it or not, the clips show a Huracan, as well as an Aventador, being hooned sideways on sand.

While there are no details about the location where the two separate Lambo offroading episodes took place, this looks like the kind of abuse supercars are sometimes subjected to in the Middle East.

Since the two drivers have decided to throw their Raging Bulls at the sand, we decided we might as well compare the machines regarding offroading - yes, this is something we never expected to say.

Both pack all-wheel-drive systems and it's important that the Huracan and the Aventador have computerized AWDs, so the tricky ways of elderly Lambos (such as the Murcielago, for example), where you could experience understeer up to a point where you suddenly lost the back end, are gone.

The Aventador and the Huracan are closer than you might thing in terms of the power to weight ratio. As we've shown you in the past, the V10 manages to stay close to the V12 machine, even in the triple-digit area of the speedometer.

There are a few aspects that would recommend the Huracan if a driver insisted on trashing a Lambo on sand.

Aside from the obvious financial side, the smaller Lamborghini comes with a dual-clutch transmission, which can take more abuse than the single-clutch unit of the Aventador.

The Huracan is also easier to interact with, a key asset when sand is flying everywhere around you.

P.S.: Did we mention the Aventador in question is a Roadster and the roof is off the car during the abuse?
