Only a couple of days ago, we discovered an unknown aftermarket specialist called Ares Design, with its headquarters in Modena, Italy.
Today, we're back with yet another one of their creations and an interesting little bit of information; the company is founded by the former boss of Lotus. Hired in 2009 to oversee an ambitious new model lineup and fired three years later, Dany Bahar is the reason Ares' headquarters is located in Switzerland.
Anyway, this new company is all about giving you an exclusive package, and we can think of no worthier beneficiary than the Lamborghini Huracan, the V10 supercar with killer looks.
Ares' "atelier" crafted a unique body kit that starts with a new front bumper. It has larger air intakes with carbon fiber blades and a nose-like center feature. The aggressive, sharp lines continue down the side where they meet an air blade and with the 21-inch wheels.
Just like in the case of that G63, we love the way they redesigned both bumpers to make the Huracan appear different.
According to Ares Design' press release, the "finest Italian Nubuk and Nappa leather coated dashboard, sports steering wheel and racing section seats are simultaneously luxurious and pure. Full control is exerted via the milled aluminium shifting paddles and the interior piping adds a flavour of flight cockpit illumination."
While they are over-hyping their product, we do agree that it looks special. Where the work of the leather specialists shines is how they combined faux carbon fiber leather with the red perforated one. It looks like the inside of Iron Man's helmet, and we mean that as a compliment.
Performance upgrades are also available. Through an electronic control unit, the 5.2-liter V10 engine can be tuned from 610 to 650 horsepower while keeping the original exhaust. However, customers with deeper pockets can also choose the lightweight titanium option.
