It's been more than one week since Sant'Agata Bolognese brought at least two Huracan Superleggeras to the Nurburgring, with the pair of V10 velocity instruments storming the Green Hell ever since.
Even when the Nordschleife weather comes to prove its unpredictable nature with serious showers, the Lamborghinis continue to complete lap after lap in their quest to beat the stopwatch.

Keep in mind that we're dealing with almost-baked goodies here - forget the early mules, these are production-ready machines, with the psychedelic wrap being the only thing that separates them from the form that will show up in showrooms across the world by next summer.

As for the actual time these Raging Bulls are aiming for, we only have a few pieces of the puzzle so far. For one thing, the "standard" Huracan delivered a 7:28 'Ring time in a recent sport auto test.

Alas, despite the apt timing, the feat didn't deliver a reliable conclusion, with the German mag explaining the ABS wasn't calibrated for the optional Pirelli P Zero Trofeo Rs present on the test car. Factor in the obvious push-hard difference separating car magazine testers and Lamborghini drivers and you'll end up wondering how close to the 7:20 point the 610 hp Huracan can get.

Now, the Superleggera badge is expected to bring a melange involving a diet of up to 220 lbs (100 kg), a bump to 650 horses and a more aggressive overall setup. Given all these details, it would be all that crazy to see the Superleggera Huracan rivaling the Aventador Superveloce and its sub-7m 'Ring time.

For instance, when it comes to straight line performance, the Lamborghini Huracan is extremely close to the Aventador's figures, so why wouldn't their extra-spicy versions be just as ready to fight each other?

In fact, with the Italian carmaker now working to complete the Aventador facelift development, a 7m Huracan Superleggera wouldn't even upset the V12 camp, since the newcomer would bring the retirement of the SV.

We'll return with more info on the matter as soon as we get our keyboard on it. Until then, check out the sheer aural violence of the Superleggeras lapping the infamous German track in the video below.
