Lamborghini is preparing to launch a Superleggera version of the Huracan. We have fresh spyshots of the prototype.
A quick look at the photo gallery shows a prototype that is fully camouflaged. The vehicle even has license plates that have been taped on the hood, so that they will not affect the aerodynamics of the optimized body. As you can observe, the Lamborghini Huracan will receive a big wing with the Superleggera version.

Evidently, various improvements have been made to this car to enable it to be lighter than the regular Huracan. You do not have to be a Lamborghini fan to see that it comes with different alloy wheels, which are probably lighter than the ones on the regular Huracan models. Furthermore, the exhaust has been modified and is also expected to be lighter, as are many body elements.

The front fenders disguise a set of air outlets, which are supposed to work like those of the Porsche 991 GT3 RS. Those elements will bring extra downforce on the front axle, which would only increase as the velocity of the vehicle grows. Back in the rear of the Huracan Superleggera prototype, you can observe a supplementary intake, fitted just above the ones found on the regular model.

Our friends at CarPix have underlined that this photo gallery seems to show two versions of the Huracan Superleggera. One of them has the described air vents, while the other misses almost all of the supplementary intakes except for the ones on the front spoiler.

This might happen because the Italian brand is probably testing how several versions of aerodynamic tweaks will affect this model.

Judging by the look of the prototype, we would expect the production model of this car to be launched in the next two years, but do not rush to the nearest Lamborghini dealer if you want it today.

It will take at least one year for the Italians to have a production version ready. However, when it is ready, expect to fight over it with other Lamborghini aficionados.
