There's only one way to make a 610 horsepower V10 supercar even more enjoyable, and that's taking the roof off. At the moment, Lamborghini can't let you do that, but all will change at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. That's where the Huracan Spyder is rumored to debut with pomp and circumstance.
Nobody has seen this car yet, which is why we're not 100% convinced about the Frankfurt rumor. However, that won't stop us from showing you this amazing GIF. The guys at LamboCars put it together to give you an idea about the roof opening mechanism.

Like it predecessor, the Gallardo Spyder, the roofless Huracan will feature a retractable fabric roof. That's in contrast with the Murcielago and Aventador V12 models, which both feature a sort of Targa design with hand-removable roof panels.

By removing the roof, the Huracan will lose some of its structural rigidity and gain about 50 to 100 kilograms (110 to 220 lbs). However, it will also become more desirable, a bit like Keira Knightley would if she could eat a burger and put on some feminine curves.

The 610 horsepower V10 engine and all the other trick components will be left intact. However, curb appeal will gain a significant boost. Convertible supercars bring a sense of occasion that a Golf or MINI Cabrio can never muster.

While the fabric tarp is neatly stored away behind the driver, four exhaust pipes please the ear with aural experiences regular mortals dream of. Speaking of which, you'll have to be a very rich person to be able to afford the Huracan Spider, which will probably cost somewhere in the region of a third of a million euros.

This is not the only surprise the Santa Agata'Bolognese people have in store for us. The Aventador LP750-4 SV Roadster will be shown at the Pebble Beach event on August 14th. It will be even more expensive, exotic-looking and powerful than the Huracan Spyder. Better start saving!
