By now, we've all seen what the new Acura NSX can do when tasked with straight-line fighting. Then again, one can never enjoy too much straight-line fighting, which is why the super-hybrid was recently thrown at the Lamborghini Huracan.
As we mentioned in the title, we're refering to the LP580-2 incarnation of the Sant'Agata Bolognese machine, which bets it all on the rear.

The pair drag raced in Las Vegas, kickstarting the offensive with a standing start. Since the Acura packs two advantages for the dig race (think: all-paw hardware and instant electric torque), rolling races were also held, as you'll get to notice in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page.

Now, you might be familiar with the Acura NSX racing in this environment. And that's because the video we have here is part of a series, one that saw the Japanese toy battling another monster from Honda's home country for the debut. We're referring to the Nismo incarnation of the Nissan GT-R.

Now, the episode we have here is #3, so we must also remind you of the one that came before it. The Nismo R35 remained in the game, albeit while facing a totally different competitor since it duked it out with the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon.

If you're like us, all this drag racing talk has made you hungry for... even more races. Which is why we'll remind you that we discussed the mother of sprinting fights yesterday.

That's when the World's Greatest Drag Race (the eighth installment of the franchise) landed. The throttle-happy folks over at Motor Trend have thrown a great mix into the pot, one that also includes the 2019 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye.

Nevertheless, the star drag race was the one involving the Porsche 911 GT2 RS, the McLaren 720S and the Lamborghini Huracan Performante.
