We woke up this morning to the sound of a new V10, the car that replaces the Gallardo. And while the Huracan has filled its father's shoes, it has yet to offer a Superleggera version.
Track day supercars have been big business and that's because you really can't experience the full character of a supercar unless it's on a track. Ferrari's supped-up V8 have been especially popular due to their stripped-out lightweight nature, while Lambo's Superleggeras take an altogether more refined approach. They offer more power and a smaller weight reduction to preserve some of the luxury of the car.
These rendering created by Lambocars show a more hardcore car with carbon fiber intakes, side skirts and a large wing on the back. With 650 PS claimed from its 5.2-liter, the Superleggera has a good chance of humiliating a Murcielago or to stand toe to toe with the Aventador.
We'll have to wait about three more years before seeing more power pulled from the Lambo V10. But until then, we have plenty of reasons to like even the standard LP610-4 that came out today.
