The KTM X-Bow isn't exactly the kind of machine you often find at drag racing events. For one thing, this open-body machine is more suitable for track days and for making its driver feels like he or she is being shot out of a crossbow. Nevertheless, we're here to talk about a drag racing event that saw the driver of an X-Bow battling multiple opponents, such as a Lamborghini Huracan.
For the record, this is the standard version of the KTM toy if such a word can be used to describe the toy. That means the middle section of the vehicle accommodates an Audi-sourced 2.0-liter turbo four, which allows the driver to control 240 hp via a six-speed manual.
Once again, the clutch doesn't recommend the KTM X-Bow for drag racing, but this didn't seem to stop the aficionado from behind the wheel for going at it again and again.
As you'll notice in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page, the Austrian circuit tool kicked off by battling the 610 horsepower Raging Bull mentioned above.
Next up, the machine battled a F80-generation BMW M3, albeit with the Bavarian super-sedan packign a few mods, such as a custom exhaust supplied by iPE. Perhaps the most interesting run of the day saw the X-Bow going up against a Toyota Celica, with the senior Japanese sportscar deserving the status of a sleeper.
Since I can't stress this enough, i'll insist - no matter which car won the said races, it was the driver of the X-Bow that got the most intense experience.
Oh, and, as indicated by the number plates attached to the car, the KTM X-Bow is road-legal in many parts of the world. Sadly, its road network coverage doesn't include the US, despite the machine being offered in America.
