You may or may not be able to afford a Lamborghini Huracan, but you can have its sexy silhouette sitting on your desk for iPhone money. A company called MR Collection, which specializes in car models, has just announced limited edition scale replicas of the latest V10 Italian supercar, and even though they don't do anything, we like what we see.
There are several different versions available, colored in any one of the numerous Lamborghini trademark colors. All are built in strictly limited numbers and cost €599, not including the delivery charge. According to the manufacturer, the "silhouettes capture the beauty and essence of the Huracan aerodynamic lines."

We think Filippo Perini, who designed the Huracan, would order one of these things straight away if he knew about them. The silhouettes look like miniature stealth attack aircraft or batmobiles.

What's interesting is that the models are built using not regular carbon fiber, but the Forged Composite derivative they used on the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento monocoque. It was developed by Automobili Lamborghini ACSL in Seattle and also saw application in the Aventador J, Veneno, Asterion, Aventador Roadster and the seats of the Urus.

Regular carbon fiber has a specific weave, like the fabric of your jeans. This gives it tremendous strength, but that usually happens only in one specific direction, just like wood is easy to cut between the fibers but not against them. Forged Composite doesn't have that flaw because it uses s millions of chopped carbon filaments, dispersed in a homogeneous fashion through the part, and shapes them at high pressures.

It's said to be ten times as strong. However, we fail to see why that's important for something that will sit on your desk. Verde Mantis, Arancio Atlas, Giallo Midas and Rosso Mars are some of the colors that can be applied while the base can be covered with your favorite type of car interior leather, so check them out.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
