Remember when Lamborghini came up with the Super Trofeo Stradale back in the day? This was the most extreme V10 derivative to date, with the carmaker introducing it as a road-going version of the Super Trofeo one-make racecar, which, in turn, was based on the number plate-fitted Gallardo.
Only 125 units of the STS rolled off the factory gates in Sant'Agata Bolognese, so you might expect owners to preserve these monsters. Well, you'd be wrong.
Just earlier this week we talked about a Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale whose owner had taken the toy down the aftermarket route. The main ingredients involved an aero kit that makes the car look like the Super Trofeo circuit tool and an exhaust setup that spits fire like a dragon.
Well, guess what? The STS sitting before us also packs Super Trofeo-grade aero, so it looks like this might be a thing among owners - check out that air scoop adorning the roof of the naturally aspirated beast.
Then there's the wrap of the Italian exotic, which would make any machine stand out. The second skin job is complemented by a green headlight tint, one that makes the V10 monster look extra mean.
Scott Kepple is the digital artist who came up with this design and we have to applaud the pixel work (those of you tuned into our wrap tales might be familiar to the man's work and here's an example for the rest of you).
Then again, the artist talked about the hand application of the details when introducing the creature on social media.
"This design was hand laid via knifeless tape, all while referencing our proofs. Amazing job," we are being told.
P.S.: If you're looking to find out more about the Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale, you can check out a story about the day we spent together here.
