Some people in a Lamborghini Office must be laughing their bulls off right now, watching the rumors about the Gallardo’s successor fly around. The latest one tells us that the supercar won’t be called Cabrera, but Huracan.
As some of you know, Lamborghini had trademarked the Huracan name back in 2012 and now a unspecified source (of course) told Autoexpress that this will be the designation used the the Gallardo’s sucessor.

Meaning “hurricane” in Spanish, the word was also used for the Mayan god of fire, wind and storms. A pretty appropriate moniker, no doubt about that. Still, we can’t wait for another rumor to be confirmed - the one that states Lamborghini will offer us some proper info on the Gallardo’s sucessor, perhaps even a concept, by Christmas.

Either way, Lamborghini is expected to show the Gallardo successor, again, possibly in a concept form, at next year’s Geneva Motor Show. Meanwhile, you can check out the spyshots in the gallery below - the newest set around.
