Lamborghini oil changes are never an affordable adventure (at least not for most of us), but one Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale (STS) owner recently made one of the most expensive oil changes we've ever heard of.
The man showed up to Lamborghini Broward in Florida, but once he saw the Huracan, he decided to... dial things up and trade his STS in for Sant'Agata Bolognese's fresh V10 supercar.
As the owner explains in the video below, the decision wasn't easy. Then again, Lamborghini knew what it was doing when it gifted the Huracan with all sorts of assets, with the contemporary V10 Lambo working its charms on the man, who had driven his STS for around two and a half years.
Ever wondered how supercar buying decisions are made? Of course, we can't draw a conclusion using a single example, but, based on other mid-engined purchases we've whitnessed over the years, we have to admit this case seems relevant for its kind.
The (former) Gallardo owner is honest, listing the styling as the first element that drew him to the Huracan. Other important factors were the dual-clutch tranny of the Huracan, as well as the inteior - the STS was launched late in the Gallardo's life and the cabin wasn't exactly the freshest part of the car.
Before we invite you to hit the "play" button below, we need to explain why the switch was a difficult decision. First of all, the STS is a manic piece of kit, being the street version of the Gallardo Super Trofeo racecar. And, as we found out during our Gallardo STS review, the track-savvy genes show.
Then there's the history of this particular Gallardo. Those of you who follow our drag racing stories probably know this STS, since its owner has raced it on tons of occasions, taking his adventures to Youtube. And the man is also honest when it comes to this part of his life, admitting the Huracan will also see plenty of straight line action.
