Earlier today, we wrote about Lamborghini recalling 70 units of the Gallardo and Gallardo Spyder model due to a steering system issue that could lead to a fire.
Now, Transport Canada, the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration’s correspondent in the country, is announcing a similar action, with 96 units of the vehicles, which belong to the 2004-2006 model years, being called back due to a problem that appears in the power steering high pressure line.
The problem can cause a loss of steering assistance, which doesn’t mean that you loose your steering, but it does make it very difficult for the driver to steer. Lamborghini dealers will replace the power steering high pressure line free of charge.
Despite the fact that no official statement has been released so far, Gallardo units in the US are also expected to be affected by this, so a recall should be announced soon.
