Take a look at the Lamborghini Gallardo, from the standard model (if such a word is fitting) to the Super Trofeo racecar - does this machine look like the kind that requires extra madness? Apparently, it depends on whom you ask. And if the one answering that question is Yasid Oozear, the answer is a big, fat "yes". The digital artist I'm talking about is the one behind the rendering that brought us here.
We're dealing with a Gallardo that has left its factory state far behind. Heck, it's difficult to choose the most extreme part of this pixel contraption.
That title could go to the front end changes, headlights includes or the rear side of the machine, with its exposed engine compartment and motorsport-grade wing.
Oh and zooming in on that Lamborghini engine that occupies the middle section of the supercar reveals that the V10 of the Gallardo has been axed in favor of a V12.
"In a world where people add superchargers and twin-turbo kits to the Lamborghini V10 as if they were spreading butter and jam on toast, are two extra cylinders that important?" I hear you asking. Well, when you're aiming to do something unique, that cylinder count certainly makes a world of a difference.
Some might look at this Raging Bull and believe it is too extreme. Well, allow me to remind you that such wacky racers already exist in the real world.
For instance, here's a Lamborghini Huracan "rally car" built by YouTuber Alex Choi. And while that project cuts plenty of corners in search of quick attention, the Huracan Sterato prototype the carmaker built doesn't.
Oh, and if you're willing to see what Sant'Agata Bolognese thinks of the two, here's Lamborghini EMEA CEO Andrea Baldi discussing them in an interview we had earlier this week.
