Lamborghini Gallardo Goes Classic Gymkhana with Dirt Road Drifting

We don't know if you remember the first Gymkhana videos, but they were a little less over-the-top. Ken Block didn't have a custom-made AWD Mustang, he just used a regular tuned Subaru Impreza STI. And back then, the show wasn't so popular as to afford to close down a whole section of the Los Angeles highway for the shooting.

It's that sort of feeling we got when we saw this clip of an old Lamborghini Gallardo being thrashed. A company called Brakim Racings says it's going to strip down the old supercar and give it a major tuneup, so they decided to give the V10 engine a proper workout before it goes away and hides from the world for a few months.

This particular Lambo looks like an early model with a manual gearbox, something its successor, the Huracan, decided no to offer. Having a clutch may have aided the Sant'Agata Bolognese supercar achieve its fully sideways.

Before you go off to dreamland and wish you too could do donuts in a Lamborghini, know that doing this with an all-wheel drive supercar will damage the paint. When you have any sort of lock on the steering, the wheels will through little rocks everywhere, including at the doors and fenders. Another problem is the rocks will damage the wheel arch lining, sometimes ripping it completely apart.

But don't let that ruin the fun. This is their old Lambo, their money, their repair bill. All we have to do is enjoy the sights and sounds in the video below!
