Lamborghini Gallardo Gets 45-Minute Paintjob Thanks to Skateboarder

When people decide to have their supercar repainted, the resulting process is anything but simple. However, we're here to talk about one of the exceptions that prove the rule, one with a Sant'Agata Bolognese air to it.

To be more precise, we want to show you a Lamborghini Gallardo that has received a respray job in no more than 45 minutes.

Before you start asking questions about the amount of trust one can put in such a stunt, you should know we're talking about a skateboarder and artist who played with the V10 Lamborghini during a competition.

The contest saw Rob Jerkins, the artist in question, adding colors to the Gallardo while battling it out with an opponent who had to do the same thing while using an R32-generation Nissan Skyline as his canvas.

While the Gallardo may seem like a bit too much for such hue play, these Lamborghinis are more affordable than ever now that the Huracan has fully taken over. With the Coupe, Spyder, RWD and racing models having been introduced, the Huracan is now one special edition away from the moment when we'll be able to call the lineup complete.

The rules were simple: Aside from the time limit mentioned above, the artists could only go for a Black and White theme while not being allowed to seek inspiration anywhere but inside their minds.

This detail isn't mentioned, but we believe their drawings were not applied directly to the surface of the go-fast machines, but on a protective layer that can be removed.

While Rob used spray paint, as well as a marker pen to express himself, he had to face the caprices of weather, with rain threatening to ruin his work.

However, the man found shelter for the Gallardo before carrying on with his B&W task. In fact, you can see the entire feat by hitting the "play" button below.
