A few days ago, we pointed out that Porsche really knows what smart marketing means. However, it seems that Lamborghini manages to be much better at this game. Let us explain.
The Lamborghini Gallardo was introduced back in 2003, when a part of ts current potential customers didn't even have a driving license and yet, which car do you thing will be one of the best crowd pleasers when the Frankfurt Auto Show opens its gates (to the media) tomorrow? the same Lamborghini Gallardo.

Well, not exactly the same, as we are talking about years of progress and a special edition here. Meet the Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale (we must thank TeamSpeed for the info and images).

In case the name sounds familiar, this is because Lambo uses the Super Trofeo designation for its one-brand racing series, but the addition of the "stradale" moniker means that this is a beast that is allowed to set  wheel on public roads.
,
The vehicles has lost weight, tipping the scales at 2,954 pounds (1340 kilograms), a fact that, combined with the 570 hp of its V10 engine and its four-wheel-drive, allows it to complete the 0 to 62 mph sprint in 3.4 seconds, with the top speed sitting at 198 mph (320 km/h)

As Royksop would ask, what else is there? We have to start with the (in Lambo's words) "enormous and manually variable rear spoiler for increased dynamic load", which is borrowed from the Tofeo Stradale version (now this is return on investment people), as well as other goodies, such as a lightweight removable engine hood, just in case you really want to let that V10 sun  flashbathe.

But wait, the Raging Bull did develop something entirely new for this car - it's coat, the Rosso Mars paint. Only 150 units of the car will be brought to the world, so expect the price to be the real novelty in this story.

However, all it takes to forgive and forget all this recycling strategy is one glance at a photo of this car...
