The Lamborghini Diablo is currently in a very interesting area, meaning that the Santa'Agata Bolognese machine is too old to be able to keep up with the performance delivered by contemporary supercars and yet hasn't aged enough to become a classic.
In our book, this makes the devilishly named supercar ideal for a project car. However, we're not here to talk about some insane show that turned one of these V12 beasts into an [insert your automotive fantasy here].
Instead, we want to bring you a rendering that gives the Diablo a restomod treatment. As Raging Bull fans among you have noticed, the senior supercar has been gifted with elements borrowed from the Murcielago Superveloce, such as the lower front apron or the fixed rear wing. Oh, and let's not forget those eye-catching wheels, which come from the all-mighty Aventador.
Then we have the Aventador details on the side of the machine, which aren't exactly shy, either.
The mashup we're looking at comes from pixel master Yasid Oozeear and here's what the artist had to say about his creation: "Lamborghini Diablo revised with a newer kit/facelift inspired from the Murcielago SV and some Aventador lines for the side while keeping the initial design lines/idea of the Diablo. Newer Aventador wheels and Murcielago SV wing.Could not be happier about the outcome!"
Truth be told, Yasid seems to be on a Lamborghini Frenzy this fall. It all started with his purist-infuriating Miura render (we decided to call it the Miuracan), which brought Huracan elements. Then he delivered a Countach, which got an Aventador SV treatment, so the transition to the Diablo seems almost natural.
In fact, this Diablo was announced with the Countach render. Speaking of which, an LM002 moment is coming up next and we'll bring it to you as soon as we get our keyboards on it.
