Lamborghini has been throwing plenty of Aventador SVJ teasers at us, in preparation for the official debut of the V12 supercar, which is set to take place on Thursday at Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. However, the job of... leaking the limited edition onto the web has been left to a dealer.
As such, British Ranging Bull specialist HR Owen has now taken to Instagram to bring us the first full image of the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ.
Covered in one of Lamborghini's traditionally extrovert shades of green, the Superveloce Jota displays its eccentric design. And despite the fact that the Aventador S is quite the looker, the newcomer packs plenty of meaner styling cues.
It all starts with the carbon fiber front lip, while the bumper comes with meatier extensions on its side. Then we have the vents on the sides of the Lamborghini badge and the racing-grade rear wing.
As is the case with the Lamborghini Huracan Performante, the Aventador SVJ packs active aerodynamics and we can't wait to find out how this works for the new beast.
For now, all we know is that the SVJ generates almost 500 kg of downforce when traveling at maximum velocity.
The Aventador Superveloce Jota sees the 6.5-liter V12 heart of the Aventador S pushed from 740 to 760 hp, but we're still not aware of the updates for the Independent Shifting Rod transmission.
And, as the Italian automotive producer has announced, the mid-engined delight managed to blitz the Nurburgring in just 6:44.97. As such, the Lamborghini grabbed the Green Hell production car lap record from the Porsche 911 GT2 RS (the Neunelfer covered the task in 6:47), which, in turn, had stolen the accolade from the Aventador Performante.
Now that the image we have here has surfaced online, we might get the full reveal even sooner than expected.
