Lamborghini Aventador SV Races Huracan on the Autobahn, Can the V10 Keep Up?

Until some new scandal hits us, the German Autobahn continues to offer delicious, non-restricted sections where drivers can stretch the legs of their machines. And when you add a Lamborghini Aventador SV, as well as a Huracan to the mix, you end up with instant supercar good times.

The pair of Ragin Bulls gets it on the Autobahn, with the Superveloce obviously leading the way. The Huracan uses all of its resources to keep up with its spiced-up big brother.

Come to think of it, this is more of a chase for the Huracan than a race. Nevertheless, we get to enjoy plenty of sprinting moments, with the intoxicating soundtrack of the V10 accompanying us, as the Huracan also serves as the “camera car”.

You may recall the time when we showed you how the Huracan and the Aventador (the standard car) stack up against each other. From the power-to-weight ratio to the real-world performance, the two are much closer than you might expect. Sure, the Aventador does show a high-speed edge, but other than that, there’s not too much of a difference between them, at least not enough to justify the price gap on its own.

Nevertheless, we are talking about the Aventador Superveloce here. On paper, this simply offers an extra 50 PS compare to the standard Aventador. Nevertheless, Sant’Agata Bolognese engineers have strived to turn the SV into a machine that redefines Lamborghini standards. And when the end results sits just three seconds behind the Porsche 918 Spyder hypercar in terms of the Nurburgring time, we can clearly say they’ve succeeded (more on that 'Ring topic here).

And while we don’t get to see the speedometer all that often during the Lambo shenanigan, the bugs on the Huracan’s windshield tell enough of a story.

PS: at a certain point, a wild Diablo appears.
