You can call it Murcielago replacement, Aventador, or use the LP700-4 designation - it doesn’t matter which of these name you use, the point is that we are talking about a new beast that will come to rock the supercar world.
Of course, everybody is curious to see how the upcoming creation of the Raging Bull looks like. Lamborghini has chosen certain journalists, allowing them not only to meet the Aventador in person but also to drive it. Now, the story moves on to the world wide web, where the adjacent photo, which almost shows us the car in its full glory, has surfaced.
The image, which was taken during one of the press meetings, came to the web via Facebook. We didn’t expect the animal to hit us using a social network, but now it doesn’t matter. In case you were wondering, the pic was posted on the Lamborghini Club of Los Angeles’ Facebook page (we must thank Car and Driver for the scoop).
As you can see, the car is covered in black camo, but this doesn’t stop us from seeing its overall shape. The vehicle entirely follows Lambo’s family identity - you could ask your grandma and she could tell you that this is a Lamborghini.
As for the tech part, the Aventador will be powered by the recently-introduced 6.5 liter V12 that delivers 700 hp and a maximum torque of 690 Nm (509 lb-ft). The powerplant will be assisted by an automated manual gearbox that uses an Independent Shifting Rod system that allows it to offer ultra-quick shifting times.
