Lamborghini Aventador Roadster Will Have Removable Hardtop

Back in January, Lamborghini was testing the Aventador with a bunch of duct tape on the roof near the Arctic Circle. We immediately assumed that the car they announced for Geneva was going to be the Aventador Roadster, but we were wrong and it was ‘only’ the one-off J speedster with no roof and no windscreen.
But the Roadster is coming, and Italian publication Quattroroute has the scoop as usual. According to them, this will have a removable solid piece of roofing to keep the rain out, unlike the Murcielago Roadster that had what we can only describe as a tent.

The roof will probably be made from lightweight carbon-fiber just like the rest of the supercar’s tub and body. This will make it light enough for people to move and rigid enough to keep the Avenador from flexing too much.

According to the Italian publication, the roof splits in two parts, so you can store it somewhere in the car, most likely under the bonnet.
