Rumors of a topless version of the Raging Bull’s flagship have been circulating the internet ever since last year, and recent reports have indicated the model will ow at the 212 Geneva Motor Show this March. Even though we are still a bit skeptical of this, the fact of the matter is this is a very cool-looking car that’s worth the wait.
The Aventador Roadster we’re showing you will be a drop-top symphony of 700 horsepower 8,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 509 lb-ft (690 Nm) at 5,500 rpm. You can be sure that Lamborghini will retune the exhaust to sound especially nice with the top down.
The Aventador uses a state-of-the-art monocoque chassis made from carbon fiber, which allows it to tip the scales at 1,575 kg (3,472 lbs). The Roadster should enjoy roughly the same 0 to 62 mpg time of 2.9 seconds, all-wheel drive system as well as the lightning-fast ISR (Independent Shifting Rods) transmission.
