Lamborghini Aventador Replacement Rendered, Delay Rumors Going Strong

It was 2011 when the Lamborghini Aventador came to the world, while the Aventador S mid-cycle model was launched back in 2017, so it's no surprise that Sant'Agata Bolognese is expected to deliver a replacement for the V12 toy soon. Of course, with the Huracan having been introduced in 2014 (the Huracan Evo mid-cycle reinvention is now on the streets), we can also talk about the model that will replace the V10 animal. So why not cover this with the help of a rendering?

The pixel play we have here wants to portray the next-generation Lamborghini design language, so it covers both the Aventador and the Huracan successor.

As The Sketch Moneky, the YouTuber behind the visual adventure, notes, the render mixes the classic Lambo lines with the kind of clean styling that used to define these Italian exotics.

So rather than going for a busier look such as the one introduced by the Aventador SVJ or the Huracan Evo, the artist went for the simpler styling cues of the Gallardo and the Murcielago, for instance.

And while you can check out the result of his work in the screenshot above, the video below allows us to see how the whole thing went from an idea, through a sketch and eventually became a rendering.

Of course, with the Aventador being the more visually aggressive model, this styling direction might be more fitting for the Huracan replacement, but it's all just a guessing game at the moment.

However, it seems we can say the same about the arrival of the Aventador replacement. You see, the only serious expectation we have for the next-gen Lamborghini models is that they'll use hybridization to steer clear of that twin-turbo path that helps emissions but takes a toll on crucial supercar assets like soundtrack and throttle response.

Nevertheless, the latest reports suggest that the Aventador replacement has been pushed back to 2024, while the Huracan successor is expected to land a year after that.

And both the V12 and the V10 are in danger of extinction, even with the said electric assistance, since these would have to pass ever-stricter emission regulations. The reports go on to talk about Lamborghini borrowing a Porsche-developed V8, but this version doesn't seem to hold water, at least not if the VW Group wants to preserve Lamborghini's identity.
