UPDATE: Lamborghini Aventador Miura Homage Is Cool Enough To Get a Venice Boat

There are very few aspects of the supercar world that won't see die-hard enthusiasts taking sides and starting a debate and the idea that the Lamborghini Miura is the coolest car the Raging Bull has ever delivered is probably one of these aspects.

So when the Miura spiritually applies its charisma to the not-exactly-lacking-it Aventador, the resulting Aventador Miura Homage obviously has an aura that will sweep everybody around off their feet. Simple, right?

Well, it turns out the special edition of Lamborghini's current V12 model, which is a rolling 50th anniversary cake for the original Lambo, is cool enough to get its own boat in Venice.

We can see the romantic moment in the image we have here and we'll tip our lens to Twitter user Karanja Earl Simmons for the pic.

It looks like we're dealing with a behind-the-scenes moment from the filming of a commercial, which would justify the all the risks being taken here.

After all, we're not dealing with a standard Aventador, if we may call the 700-pony supercar so. We'll remind you Sant'Agata Bolognese is only gifting the world with 50 units of the motorized Miura nod.

The details that set these machines apart from the LP700-4s or other Aventador models are carefully applied by a small group of people that make up Lamborghini's Ad Personal craftsmen.

Risky or not, such a move can also be seen from a different perspective. For instance, the kind of "wow" effect a Lamborghini boat doesn't need to be explained (even though experiencing one in the flesh will help). Well, until some crazy shop out there actually builds one, this is as close as we'll get to a Lamborghini Miura boat. Too bad the contraption seems a bit underpowered to fit such a label...

P.S.: You can get a better look at the Aventador Miura Homage using the image gallery.

Update: Here's the story behind the odd spectacle, in the automaker's words: "Automobili Lamborghini and L’Uomo Vogue» to celebrate 10 years of extraordinary portraits of the stars of the Venice Film Festival. Special guest: the Aventador Miura Homage,"

And the just-as-official video below should give you all the Lambo-on-a-boat you need.
