Lamborghini sure knows how to use marketing tricks to shake the entire planet prior to a new model release. Let’s take the Aventador for example. The hypercar is still months away from it’s expected Geneva Auto Show release, but the Internet has already been filled with news related to it.
And guess what? There’s a new one! Today, it’s time to see the Aventador’s dark side, its pricing. AutoSalon Singen, a German automotive dealer, is allowing customers to place pre-orders for the Aventador. So, it seem that if you want to get behind the wheel of Lambo’s upcoming V12 monster, you’ll have to put your bank account on a EUR260,420 (a little under $350,000 at the current exchange rates) diet. This price does not include taxes.
Of course you can’t just treat the Aventador like any normal car and throw in a list, but this is exactly what the dealer did. So, here it is: air conditioning, navigation system, ABS anti-blocking system, airbag, front-seat passenger airbag, side-impact airbags, ESP, traction control, car computer, Euro 5 catalyic converter, xenon lights, automatic, keyless go, ceramic brakes, rain sensor, lifting system, head airbags, iPod interface.
We’ll remind you that the vehicle is powered by a 6.5 liter V12 engine (an all-new development) that produces 700 hp and 690 Nm of torque, pushing the beast on to a top speed of 350 km/h (217 km/h).
We know, this sounds familiar. This is because the same dealership is offering the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, a vehicle that is still in the concept form, for sale.
