If you're looking to build a show car, it's hard to do anything bolder than vertical doors. Not everybody is brave enough to put Lambo doors on his car, but those who do get a lot of attention.
When you buy Lambo doors, you don't actually get a package with doors in it, just some custom hinges. There are two ways do install them: custom and "bolt on", with Vertical Doors from America and LSD from Europe being the big players in the industry. So which type of mod should you make? Simple: if there is a bolt-on system, it's by far the best solution.

The 2016 Chevy Camaro is great in many ways. It does the V8 musclecar thing better than ever, yet also looks futuristic. Many companies offer LSD or Lambo Style Doors, but Vertical Doors Inc. from California seems to be the first to target the 'Maro.

The kit was launched a few days ago and will set you back $1,400. That's cheaper than most custom wheel sets. However, it doesn't include installation.

We've seen 2016 Camaros with Lambo doors before, but they were custom-made, meaning that you will void the warranty with the install. The over-the-counter solution from Vertical Doors consists of all the familiar parts, including 2 gas shocks, 2 hinges, all the mounting hardware and a manual.

The direct "Bolt On" hinge kit works with the factory bolt pattern too, but we suspect you're not going to be able to install it as quick as an Ikea shoe box. At least you don't have to drill holes into the car or do any welding.

How do they work? Just like the ones on a real Lamborghini, the V12 kind. The door first comes out a few inches, and then pops up. Getting in and out will not be as easy, but problems in tight car parks might be a thing of the past. However, if your Camaro is tucked into a garage every night, you might want to check if there are any clearance issues.
