Laguna Seca Can Be Experienced in a Bugatti Veyron

Another event put up together for racing fans it’s making its way to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca soon, as both car and motorcycle owners can experience the circuit.

The event, which will take place during the September 12 and 13 weekend will also allow participants to bid for the chance to be a passenger in a classic stock car, a Bugatti Veyron, or a Porsche Carrera GT, for 15 minutes of track time.

The event, organized by Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and Club Auto Sport, will feature appearances by Indy 500 winner Danny Sullivan and the youngestroad race sensation, 15-year-old Elena Myers, who will ride her Kawasaki in a full race grid of 600 cc motorcycles, against Yamahas, Ducatis, Suzuki and Hondas.

Entry fees are $750 for cars and $500 for motorcycles. Car participant highlights include six track sessions with no sound restrictions and race groups, with a minimum of 30 cars per group. On the other hand, motorcycle participant highlights include 2 sessions per day (1 Practice/Qualifying Session and 1 Race), 4 tickets to the Friday evening welcome BBQ and hot-pit passes for you and 3 crew members all weekend.

If you don’t want to compete yourself you can stand back and relax while watching all the races both days - Historic NASCAR, F1/Champ/Indy, LMP and GTP, Formula Mazda Challenge and F2000, Porsches, 600cc and 1000cc Supersport motorcycles, and an Intermediate/Advanced Street-Prepped group with a fantastic mix of old and new cars.
