LaFerrari vs. Koenigsegg Agera Drag Race Climbs to 214 MPH

When you own a LaFerrari, you simply can't go through motoring life without racing against a Koenigsegg, with this also going the other way around. However, we're not here for life quotes, as we want to bring you a real world interpretation of the LaFerrari vs. Koenigsegg Agera Concept instead.

The two hypercars recently went head to head during an event held in the UK, with the video result we have below been a pretty delicious one.

The Italian battled it out with the Swede during the Vmax Hypermax, which saw them rushing down a two-mile runway, with a standing start.

Usually, we don't throw in too many spoilers, but we'll have to discuss this one, since the result is now what it might seem.

On paper

First of all, both hypercar shows similar specs. The LaF has 950 HP (963 PS) and a dry weight of 1,330 KG (2,932 LBS).

As for the Koenigsegg, this is an Agera N. While you may not find official specs of this Agera flavor, we have talked about it before - with such vehicles, each machine is individually set up in terms of parameters such as the gearing. Regardless, the Agera delivers 960 HP (973 PS) and tips the scales at 1,255 KG (2,767 LBS) dry.

In real life

The Ferrari shows quite a take-of, while the Koenigsegg struggles with the launch, throwing down a bit too much power afterward. Perhaps this is where the level of engineering finesse difference between the two is seen. As far as the video, which comes from Shmee150, allows us to see, it looks like the Ferrari wins this one.

If you check out the speed traps, which are placed close to the end of the 2-mile runway, the Maranello machine hit 200 MPH (322 KM/H), while the all-petrol-no-electric Agera pulled out a 214 MPH (345 KM/H) run. So yes, the Koenigsegg won.

The two drivers obviously couldn't settle for a single race. As a result of their repeated battles, we can tell you the LaFerrari managed to climb as high as 209 MPH (336 KM/H), while the Agera N hit 214 MPH (345 KM/H).

The delicious soundtrack delivered by the duet is on the house.
