Over the last few years, the wrap industry has seen a slowdown in what used to be an effervescent increase trend. Don't get us wrong, the wrap work is still going strong, but it doesn't seem like the single best solution anymore, now that second skin goodies such as Plasti Dip are around.
However, when it comes to transparent protection films, these are still riding the wave, which is why we wanted to show you a top-class example. We're talking about the Ferrari LaFerrari in the image gallery below (hat tip to WrapStyle for the pics).

At first, it might seem odd to take your 1-of-499 Prancing Horse to some warehouse to have such a film installed. Nevertheless, such jobs are only normal, especially if you don't intend to treat your 950 hp (make that 963 PS) hybrid as a garage queen.

The real world can be quite a pain sometimes, with rock chips appearing out of nowhere, not to mention the kind of effect aggressive washing can have on your hypercar. In fact, the industry has reached such an advanced level that some solutions will even protect you against seriously "acid" issues.

For instance, we've recently brought you a video showing another Ferrari, this time an FF, that had received a protective film which could keep it safe from keying.

Returning to the Maranello halo machine we have here, you don't have to worry about the film ruining the lines of the Fezza. If installed properly, this is almost invisible. In fact, the only major drawback of such a solution has to do with maintenance.

As time takes its toll on the film, its transparent nature will turn against it, with dirt starting to show up at the edges. Then again, removing it and having a new one installed is the obvious, simple solution to the issue.

P.S.: There's always the alternate solution, which can see you inviting the LaFerrari into your living room.
