LaFerrari Looks Sharp as Scaled Silver Sculpture

Whether or not you choose to see what the internet has to offer on a quick search for Ferrari’s fastest production car, we can tell you there’s much interest for it out there. And it’s only natural the hybrid hypercar is that craved for, after all we are talking about a $1.4 million worth beauty of which only 499 were ever built (and are sold out).

Nevertheless, it’s not about the price or the number of units the engineers at Maranello have produced. No, what makes this rare breed even rarer is the masterpiece of technology and engineering that reside at the bottom of it all. The first mild hybrid from Ferrari, it provides the highest power output of any Prancing Horse while decreasing fuel consumption by 40 percent.

Then, there’s the carbon fibre monocoque structure technical director Rory Byrne specially developed. The Italians claim LaFerrari has 27 percent more torsional rigidity and 22 percent more beam stiffness than the Enzo. We're not even planning to get into the speed specifics since that would take an editorial alone.

The point of our little conversation here is, in fact, concerning the looks of this marvellous work of art. It's aerodynamic shape is not there only for speed and friction, but also for design. And that gorgeous look is why this scale model carved in silver is eye candy. The LaFerrari sculpture was recently unveiled and is priced at $273.

Here's what Ferrari Store has to say about their latest addition:

"From the gypsum mould to the casting in metal, from the polishing of the body to the assembly and ultimate attention to detail; every element of this work has been realised with utmost care and excellent craftsmanship."

All things considered, we'll let you be the judge of it, after checking out the pictures listed below, of course.
