LaFerrari Gets Fixed with Duct Tape, Because Impromptu Engineering

LaFerrari Gets Fixed with Duct Tape 1 photo

It's extremely difficult to imagine the world without duct tape. And while we could go on about the drawbacks of such a universe for pages and pages, we're here to give you an example, one that has to do with a LaFerrari.
As you can see in the image above, the nose of the Maranello halo car has been patched with duct tape, because, you know, duct tape fixes everything.

Then again, there's an explanation for this image (lens tip to GCprods for the photo) and we have to admit the fix is rather reasonable. You see, this LaF got a broken nose last week, with the hypercar having crashed during the Ferrari Cavalcade.

While the event is supposed to be an annual meeting that sees Prancing Horse drivers enjoying their machines on Italy's super roads, things went haywire this year. To start with, three LaFerraris were crashed, albeit with just one of the hyper-hybrids being seriously damaged - the car left the road, ending up hitting a restaurant sign, as well as the back of a Lancia Ypsilon parked nearby.

As for the LaF seen here, its driver apparently lost focus while sneezing, bumping into the car in front of him, which happened to be another LaFerrari, a Black one. As you can see in the image gallery below (the first pic on the left), the ridiculous incident put a hole in the 950 hp (963 PS) Ferrari's front apron.

So, instead of driving around with the impromptu aerodynamic profile, the owner  of the TdF decided to go for the duct tape solution.

Oh well, at least this LaF got away easily, unlike an F12 Tour de France taking part in the Cavalcade, which caught fire. Fortunately, though, an extinguisher was enough to put the flames to sleep, with the grand tourer being saved.
