It's no secret that Russians enjoy treating cars like LEGO, which is why they come up with wacky builds like the one that brought us here. To put things shortly, we're looking at a good old Lada, albeit one that's set to become what some might call a "moderate monster truck".
Academe G, the wacky crew behind the build, has recently inaugurated a new shop (think: Real Russian Custom), with this Lada set to be the first project completed via the fresh location.

Now, if you noticed the Nissan Patrol part of the titles above and wondered if this will be the body of a Lada fitted to the frame of the Japanese offroader, you should know this isn't how these guys roll.

Instead, we'll be looking at a custom frame, while the track width might even be reduced to cater to the tight offroading needs of forest courses. Speaking of which, the YouTube clip below, which shows the current state of the build, allows us to see how the rust ruined the Patrol frame.

On the firepower front, the goal is to gift the machine with a Toyota 3UZ-FE 4.3-liter and who knows how far the V8 will be pushed in terms of horsepower?. In case you're wondering, the stock incarnation of the motor delivers around 300 ponies. Regardless, the muscle will be put to the road via 37-inch shoes.

Now, you might be familiar to the AcademeG label. After all, these Russian petrolheads are the ones who put together the insane Bentley Continental GT tank - you might know this by its Utratank nickname.

And the tracked Crewe machine wasn't the crew's first project. In fact, some of their previous builds are almost as wacky, as this 1,000 horsepower Kamaz truck comes to show.

Returning to the Lada "Monster Truck" build, this should move at a steady pace now that a new shop has been created and I can't wait to see the next updates.
