Right in the second day of existence for the Mercedes-Benz Silver Arrow Blog we were telling you about this SL R230 facelift with LA Lakers-inspired colors being caught on the street.
Two and a half months later, new details have appeared in connection to the modified car, with the most important ones being that it is now for sale and its owner is quite possibly a bit on the unlettered side.

Even though it looks like an SL R230 facelift, the oddly-colored model is actually from 2003, so it's not a Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG but an SL 55 AMG with a Wald Black Bison bodykit.

If you're interested in some of the other details, you should learn that the car has received a fully completed “facelif”, has a Mercedes-Benz factory “warrenty honered by every Mercedes dealer”, it is wrapped in “Laker colors” and has an unheard of (literally) “30k audio system with Menwood DNX-9980HD head unit.”

The owner doesn't mention any prizes won, but the car has apparently been to both the SEMA Show and the LA Auto Show in 2010, 2011 and 2012. If you're interested in the unique SL 55 AMG, the car has a “buy it now” price of $65,000 on eBay.
