Kymco Brings MyRoad 700i to Canada

After becoming the largest maxi scooter to be imported in the US, the 2014 Kymco MyRoad 700i has set forth to break the ice north of the US border, as an imminent launch in Canada is expected soon.

While bigger maxi scooters are being sold in other countries, such as the mighty Aprilia SRV 850, MyRoad 700i will be a premiere for Canada.

It looks like the Canadian version will be similar to the one announced for the US markets and this means we're going to see 59 HP and 66.4 Nm (49 lb-ft) of torque coming out of the 699.9cc parallel twin, tamed by powerful disc brakes, dual 280mm in the front and a single 240mm for the rear, all three with radial 4-pot calipers.

The US could see the Kymco MyRoad 700i making it into the showrooms with a $9,699 (€7,445) price tag, so we expect the Canadian price will be somewhere around the 10-grand mark, as well.

We're kind of happy to see more manufacturers surfacing maxi scooters: this means that more customers are really going for two-wheeled transportation, and this means less crowded traffic.
