Possibly the most loved suspension tuning company out there, KW just launched new coilovers for the 2015 BMW M4 Convertible, under the same Variant 3 nameplate. As usual, the German company promises better performance with minor adjustments.
Their new Variant 3 KW coilover kit allows drivers to lower their cars between 15 to 40 mm (0.59 inches to 1.57 inches), depending on their needs and preferences. On top of that, they also allow you to adjust the rebound and compression damping forces.

"Drivers with KW coilover suspensions installed benefit from motorsport technology applied for the road," describes KW Product Manager Johannes Wacker. "Many BMW race cars like the BMW Z4 GT3 and BMW M235i Racing Cup cars used in the BMW Sports Trophy are equipped with KW suspension components."

And he’s right, as you can tell from the liveries the cars have. However, most people will want to use their cars on public roads too that aren’t always pothole free.

In this regard, their product comes in handy, as it allows you to modulate your car’s response and behavior depending on what you’re actually driving it on. That’s one of the characteristics of M cars and the M4 Convertible makes no exception.

Therefore, if the rebound valves are opened further, the comfort at low speeds is increased. Going the other way around will transform the car appropriately, of course and that’s when body roll is reduced to a minimum.

It all sounds pretty good at the moment and, if the price is right, a lot of people will go for this setup. The only downside is that the adjustment still has to be made manually, but KW claims that their system is extremely easy to use. If the price tag (that we think will be around $3,000) will be right, a lot of enthusiasts will likely go for this choice on their rides.
