Even though an entirely new generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class is just around the corner, it doesn't mean that the current model has been forgotten already.

For example, the folks at KW Automotive just introduced a new plug and play coilover kit for selected Mercedes-Benz cars, including the C-Class sedan W204 and the C-Class Coupe C204.

Called KW DDC, the new coilover lowered suspension is compatible with the electronics found in the Mercedes-Benz Agility Control system, meaning that even drivers of the E-Class Coupe C207 and the E-Class Cabriolet A207 can benefit from it.

Before the new KW coilover kit, the Mercedes-Benz Agility Control suspension could not be lowered aftermarket without leaving typical comfort features aside.

“Who wanted a conventional sports suspension had to de-activate the series suspension control”, says KW product manager Johannes Wacker. “With the KW DDC Plug & Play coilover kit for the recent Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W204, Coupé and Limousine) and E-Class (A207, Convertible and C207 Coupé) this does not apply any more. The compatibility feature allows for a simple exchange of the series struts against the KW coilover kit. Subsequently the KW plugs are being connected to the original Mercedes plugs and that’s that for the installation of the electronics.”
