Kuryakyn Bar Risers for Honda Gold Wing Recalled

Are you a tall guy who was never happy with the height of the OEM bars on his Honda Gold Wing? Hopefully you're bought and installed some risers, but if you got them from Kuryakyn lately (Part number 7437), you might want to check them as the NHTSA issued a recall campaign.

The recall has number 13E037000 and claims at least 232 handlebar riser sets are potentially affected by a structural problem. Some of the screws may break after installation and this could cause the bars to move or worse, come off.

Needless to say what the outcome of such a horrible scenario would be and the risk Gold Wing GL1800 with raised bars users are exposed to. The recall is expected to begin in late June/ early August and Kuryakyn will send replacement screws to the customers, alongside instructions on how to use them.

Should they want to have dealers take care of the problem, they will be served at no cost. Owners who are not sure on their Kuryakyn Gold Wing risers, you could contact the manufacturer at 1-866-296-4728.
