Kurt Caselli is the winner of the Argentinian 6-stage Desafio Ruta 40 rally, in South America. It looks like an US rider racing on Argentinian ground aboard an Austrian (KTM) bike with Slovenian race exhaust (Akrapovic) makes a pretty good recipe for a victory.
The American KTM rider stepped into the spotlight earlier this year as he was chosen to replace the KTM factory rider Marc Coma in the world's longest and toughest cross-country rally, the 2013 Dakar.

Marc Coma was not fully-recovered after a shoulder injury in 2012 and he and his medical team decided it was best not to push things too far with the past Dakar edition. The Desafio Ruta 40 counts for the FIM Cross-Country Rally World Championship.

The current world standings however see Marc Coma in the lead, with only two rounds to go at the end of July in Brazil and in late September, with the concluding Pharaohs Rally in Egypt.

Now that Cyril Despres signed with Yamaha for the 2014 Dakar, we're looking forward to see Kurt Caselli as a full-time factory rider in early January next year.
