Kurt Busch Takes Charlotte

It was a great weekend for the Busch brothers, as each managed to win both the Nationwide and Sprint races this weekend. After on Saturday Joe Gibbs Racing driver Kyle Busch took the win at the Charlotte Motor Speedway for the the fourth time in the past five races, his brother Kurt managed to snatch victory in the Coca-Cola 600 Sprint race on Sunday.

Busch went over the finish line 0.737 seconds ahead of Jamie McMurray, managing his second win of the and the 22nd of his career. He also managed to become the seventh driver to win both Charlotte races in the May Speedweeks, after one week ago he managed to take the All Star race.

"This was a race for the ages," Busch said after the race. "To have a car as good as it was in the daytime, I was afraid of it at night. I didn't know if it was going to be able to give me the handling like it had early on in the race. And it played out in our favor.

"I'm speechless with the fact that we swept both races. ... McMurray kept us honest. He was right there at the end. It wasn't like we faded back into the pack. He just separated himself from the pack and came and got us. He taught me a couple things about my line. I needed to adjust it, and it helped us stay out in front of him at the end."

The Coca-Cola 600 top five was completed by Kyle Busch, Mark Martin and David Reutimann
