Suzuki makes some of the most joyful little cars in the world. None of them are perfect, like the rough and ready Jimny, but they are all cool. Yes, even the Ignis.
America didn't have a stomach for what Suzuki has to offer, which is a shame, because they are missing out on a fun little hatchback. The Swift Sport is less pretentious than a Fiat 500 Abarth, and it still packs a punch.

The new model comes equipped with a 140 horsepower 1.4-liter turbo in place of the old naturally aspirated unit. That means it's less old-school, but as a recent drift video from Hungary proved, you can still have a lot of fun in this type of car.

Japan recently adopted the Swift Sport too, a car that was initially developed for the European market. Their input is probably why it has so many safety systems that you don't need. Lane detection warning - how are you going to cut somebody off in a race?

But without Japan, the Swift Sport probably wouldn't have any cool body kits, like this one, which has been designed by a company called Kuhl. You might have heard of them already because Kuhl presented one of the most striking Nissan GT-R projects in the world, the so-called silver surfer.

Getting back to the Swift, it is mostly a ground effects package, flat on the bottom and meant to stick to the existing bodywork. It's like the tuning you'd do in an old NFS game. Front chin, side skirts, rear diffuser - they are all designed the same way and painted to match the crazy yellow that Suzuki offers.

As a showcase, this particular model has also been fitted with a new grille insert featuring an illuminated Kuhl logo and eyelids for the tops of the headlights. We love the racing look of the wheels and are sure that the new exhaust system makes a lasting impression.
