KTM X-BOW Gets More Power from ABT

The German tuning company based in Kempten have made available a new power package for KTM X-BOW owners. ABT Sportsline will offer an engine tuning for your average X-BOW that will raise its power by 60 hp more.

For the already track-oriented sports car, the tuning from ABT Sportsline will push the KTM X-BOW form 240 hp to 300 hp and its torque from a standard 310 Nm (228 ft-lb) to 400 Nm (295 ft-lb). The engine tuning was carefully made so it will deliver the power from a wide rev band.

This will make the X-BOW reach a power-to-weight ratio of 380 bhp per tonne. Combined with the car's light weight and sport chassis developed by Dallara this firmly places, the X-Bow in the exotic car performance class.

This modification will allow the car to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 3.5 seconds, compared to the 3.8 seconds standard performance. Also, this is so far the only tuning solution recommended by KTM. The package can be bought as an aftermarket kit and can be retrofitted to all X-BOW models.

With with a price tag of 5,300 pounds (including installing), the upgrade comes with a two year warranty and KTM's official approval after prior factory testing.
